CITI OPEN® TO KICK OFF TOURNAMENT WEEK WITH NATIONAL RECORDING ARTIST MAGIC GIANT & DC’S BEST RESTAURANTS, JULY 27
The Citi Open® Tennis Tournament is leading its week of world-class tennis and signature special events with its first-ever kickoff party featuring national recording artist, MAGIC GIANT, and DC’s award-winning culinary scene. The Kickoff Party will be held July 27, from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m., in the Pavilion Room at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
The Citi Open Kickoff Party is hosted and sponsored by Trade Center Management Associates (TCMA, A Drew Company), the exclusive manager of the historic Reagan Building and Official Sponsor of the Citi Open. At the event, catering will be provided by TCMA's Executive Chef Xavier Deshayes and his culinary team. Additionally, in partnership with the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW), the party will feature some of D.C.’s celebrated restaurants and chefs, featured at the 2017 RAMMY Awards.
MAGIC GIANT, whose lead singer Austin Bisnow is from the DC area, will perform at the party. To promote their debut album, “In The Wind,” released Friday, May 19. To celebrate the Citi Open, the first ever Kickoff Party will include the concert and unlimited food and drink.
“I grew up in DC, going to this very tennis tournament year after year; always invigorated by it, so it's an honor to be coming home to play it (musically speaking) this year! Get ready to dance, Citi Open!!!” said Austin Bisnow, MAGIC GIANT lead singer.
“The Tournament offers fans more than just tennis — we've really become a social destination for many,” said Keely O’Brien, Tournament Director, “We wanted to plan a special and unique event this year to kick off the tournament. We saw Magic Giant perform at Events DC's Music Showcase at SXSW, and it clicked! With the incredible support of our partners at TCMA and RAMW, we were all able to make this happen. Tickets will go fast and I am counting down the days!”
Tickets for general admission to the party with UNLIMITED FOOD AND ALCOHOL are $89!
Both ticket levels will have an option to purchase a $40 reserved seat ticket to any Citi Open session.
