2012 Citi Open Tickets On Sale Today

Annual ATP World Tour 500 Tournament to be held July 28 – August 5, will also feature, for the first time, a Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) International Level Tournament
 
WASHINGTON – May 10, 2012 – Tickets to the Citi Open, the annual ATP World Tour 500 event in Washington, D.C., are on sale to the public today. The event will be played July 28 through August 5 at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park (16th & Kennedy Streets, NW).

Weeklong ticket packages for all 10 sessions start at $215 ($21.50 per session) for Baseline Reserved to $575 for Premium Box Seats. Single session seats range from $10 to $80, depending on session and seat location. In addition to the tournament’s Baseline Reserved and Premium Box Seat packages, other flexible ticket packages include Series Gold (the only premium reserved seats in the first tier for all 10 sessions), Series Silver (the best seats in the second tier for all 10 sessions), Weekender (reserved seats for the first weekend and all Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final matches) and Box Seat Mini-Breaks (box seats for three to four nights). Group discounts and Courtside Suites are also available.

For the first time, fans will also be able to watch a WTA International Level tournament, offering $220,000 in prize money. In addition, the Citi Open will feature an enhanced experience for fans and players who attend, including numerous site upgrades, such as a 2,500-seat show court to accommodate both tournaments.

Top-ranked American Mardy Fish has confirmed he will return to the Citi Open in 2012. Fish has been eager to return to Washington after being forced to withdraw from last year’s tournament due to injury. The 30-year-old Fish has won six singles titles in his career. He was also the runner-up at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Canada and in Los Angeles. So far in 2012, he has maintained his top-10 ranking, highlighted by reaching the quarterfinals at the ATP World Tour Masters 1000 Miami. The tournament expects to announce its initial player field by June 20.
