The tournament’s FREE parking shuttles from off-site parking areas to the tournament site are an easy way to beat the traffic. The FREE shuttle service will be open to patrons for all nine (9) days of the tournament. Shuttle service will begin as outlined below in each respective area prior to the start of matches each day and will run thirty (30) minutes past the completion of the last match and will operate every 10-12 minutes. It is strongly encouraged that patrons utilize Metro, off-site parking and shuttles as their first option.
Take Metro:
Due to limited on-site parking and traffic concerns, it is recommended and encouraged that all patrons ride MetroRAIL to the Van Ness-UDC Station on the Red Line with FREE shuttle service stationed providing transportation to the Tennis Center (see details below).
You can also take Metrobus to the event using the S2 or S4 routes from the Silver Spring Station. Metro-operated parking lots are free on weekends and federal holidays. SmarTrip® cards with full parking fee are the only accepted form of payment for parking except at metered parking and at Anacostia, Franconia-Springfield, Largo Town Center , New Carrollton, Shady Grove and Vienna/Fairfax-GMU where major credit cards are also accepted. Van Ness-UDC Metro Station:
FREE tournament shuttles will be running between the Van Ness-UDC Metro station and the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center every day throughout the week of the tournament. The FREE shuttles will be open to Metro riders and to patrons who wish to park for FREE at the Van Ness Center Garage, located at the intersection of Veazey Place, NW and Connecticut Avenue . Patrons will need to show their ticket to receive free parking for that day (Entrance or Exit). Directional signage will be posted. Shuttle riders will be dropped off and picked up right outside the tournament's main gate. The Van Ness-UDC station is located at the corner of Connecticut Ave. and Van Ness Street, NW , and is easily reached via Connecticut Ave. from both downtown Washington and I-495.
*** - Shuttle service from Van Ness UDC Metro Station will begin 90 minutes prior to the start of matches from the first Saturday of the tournament through Friday.
*** - Shuttle service from Van Ness UDC Metro Station will begin two (2) hours prior to the start of matches on the final Saturday and Sunday of the tournament.
Picnic Groves/Lots #13, #14 & additional lots:
FREE tournament shuttles will be running between Rock Creek Park Picnic Groves/Lots #13 and #14 (located just minutes away from the Tennis Center ) every day throughout the week of the tournament. Shuttle riders will be dropped off and picked up right outside the tournament's main gate. See below for directions to Picnic Groves/Lots #13 and #14.
*** - Shuttle service for Picnic Groves/Lots #13 & #14 will begin one (1) hour prior to the start of matches from the first Saturday of the tournament through Friday.
*** - Shuttle service for Picnic Groves/Lots #13 & #14 will begin two (2) hours prior to the start of matches on the final Saturday and Sunday of the tournament.

On-Site Paid Parking (weather permitting)
On-site paid parking in grass lot (Lot B) is available, but availability is very limited. It is strongly encouraged that patrons utilize the FREE shuttles from the Van Ness-UDC Metro station and other off-site parking locations as detailed above as their first option. Please note that when Lot B is closed due to inclement weather, in an effort to help preserve the natural resources of the park, patrons will be directed to the off-site locations that will be serviced by tournament shuttles.
Important note:
Paid parking is ONLY available in the grass Lot B parking area. No paid parking will be allowed under ANY circumstances in paved Lot A.
Directions to the Tennis Center
From Downtown Washington :
Take 16th Street, NW north for four (4) miles. The William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center will be on the left. Turn left onto Morrow Drive, NW to enter the facility. Then follow the instructions provided by the parking staff. ??From I-495: Take I-495 Exit 31/Georgia Avenue south toward Silver Spring . Stay in the right lane for approximately 1/4 mile, then bear right onto 16th Street (Route 390). After approximately three (3) miles, the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center will be on the right. Turn right onto Morrow Drive, NW to enter the facility. Then follow instructions provided by the parking staff.
Directions to Picnic Groves/Lots #13 & #14:
From 16th Street, NW , take Military Road, NW , west. At the first traffic light ( Oregon Avenue/Glover Road, NW ), turn left on Glover Road , NW. Grove #13 will be on the right and Grove #14 will be on the left. Should these groves/lots not be available, parking staff will direct patrons to additional groves/lots nearby.

Please respect the fact that this event is held in a residential community and refrain from parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Only local traffic will be allowed on nearby streets. Streets will be barricaded and parking tickets will be issued for parking violations in these areas.
