NEW OFF-SITE PARKING & METRO STATION LOCATIONS FOR 2018 – PLEASE REVIEW THIS PAGE IN ENTIRETY FOR DETAILS
SHUTTLE SERVICE FROM FRIENDSHIP HEIGHTS STATION (NO LONGER @ VAN NESS)
Due to limited on-site parking and traffic concerns, it is recommended and encouraged that all patrons ride Metro to the Friendship Heights Station and take the free Tournament shuttle service to the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center.
The shuttle service will pick up and drop off at the GEICO Headquarters parking lot that is within one block of the Friendship Heights Station. There will no longer be shuttle service from the Van Ness Station.
The Friendship Heights Station exit, closest to the off-site parking locations, where the shuttles will pick-up/ drop-off, is the Western Ave exit. At the top of the long escalator, make your first left following exit signs for “Western Ave. & 44th St. Mazza Galleria.” At the street level, walk along Western Ave. for one block to the GEICO Headquarters parking lot.
If driving to the off-site parking locations, patrons will have access to two parking lots (GEICO Headquarters and Lord & Taylor). Both access points will be off of Western Ave. Please use the following addresses for GPS directions:
Monday 7/30 – Friday 8/3 BEFORE 5:00PM: Lord & Taylor Lot: 5255 Western Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20015
*Cars must enter the lot from Western Avenue, not the Jennifer Street entrance/exit
Saturday 7/28 – Sunday 7/29 ALL DAY. Monday 7/30 – Friday 8/3 AFTER 5:00PM, Saturday 8/4 – Sunday 8/5 ALL DAY: GEICO Lot: 5260 Western Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20815
*Bethesda and Chevy Chase Village will also pop up as an option
Local sidewalk signage will be at both lots to direct patrons to the appropriate lot.
Patrons that park at the Lord & Taylor lot will have to cross the street at Jennifer Street & Western Ave traffic light to enter the GEICO Headquarters parking lot for access to the Tournament Shuttle.
The Tournament shuttle will be running between the GEICO Headquarters parking lot and the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center every day throughout the week of the tournament. Shuttle service will begin two (2) hours prior to the start of matches from July 28 through August 3 and three (3) hours prior on August 4 and August 5.
From Downtown Washington: Take 16th Street NW north for four (4) miles. The Rock Creek Park Tennis Center will be on the left, then follow the instructions provided by the parking staff.
Take I-495 Exit 31/Georgia Avenue south toward Silver Spring. Stay in the right lane for approximately 1/4 mile, then bear right onto 16th Street (Route 390). After approximately three (3) miles, the Rock Creek Park Tennis Center will be on the right, then follow the instructions provided by the parking staff.
GPS Address for LOT A (paved lot) Access: 4850 Colorado Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20011
The Tournament’s official ridesharing app partner, Lyft, will have a dedicated pick-up and drop-off location at the Carter Barron Circle located at 4850 Colorado Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20011, near the intersection 16th St. & Colorado Avenue. The designated location will allow Lyft passengers to meet up with their drivers at the same location throughout the tournament duration. All other rideshare or taxi drivers, should be directed to this pick-up/drop-off location.
Parking on-site is available but limited. The cost per vehicle per session is $20.
We strongly encourage patrons without parking passes to utilize the free shuttle services, off-site parking options and rideshare options.
If you purchased a ticket package that includes parking, the appropriate parking pass for each session must be clearly displayed on your dashboard at all times to gain access and remain in the restricted on-site parking area. All passes will be scanned upon entry. If you do not have the appropriate pass for Lot A or Lot B or your pass is not visible, your vehicle will be towed. Towed vehicles can be located by calling 202-541-6083.
Please note that your parking pass does not guarantee you a parking spot. Parking is based on availability so we strongly encourage arriving early due to limited on-site spaces. If you have a Lot A parking pass and the lot is full, you may park for free in Lot B.
In the event of rain, the National Park Service will close Lot B to all vehicles in an effort to preserve the natural resources of the park. If both on-site lots are unavailable (due to capacity or weather), you will be directed to our free off-site parking location.
Please respect the fact that this event is held in a residential community and refrain from parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. Only local traffic will be allowed on nearby streets and any vehicles that do not have a government issued and approved parking pass will be ticketed and/or towed.
