Tennis Channel and its affiliated media platforms will provide more places to watch live coverage of the Citi Open in 2022 than ever in the historic event’s history. The network, which has covered the tournament since its first year on air in 2003, expects to devote more than 35 live hours to the Citi Open this year, and another 35 hours of encore replays.
Tennis Channel’s traditional television network will have daily live coverage from the first day of play through Championship Sunday. Subscribers of streaming service Tennis Channel Plus will have access to most matches live during the tournament, and all televised/streamed matches on demand following their conclusion.
There will be daily live coverage on a second linear channel, T2. The channel is available for free to all Samsung TV Plus users with 2017-or-newer Samsung smart TVs and Galaxy mobile devices, and features matches and programming that isn’t aired on Tennis Channel. These matches will also run live on select Bally Sports regional networks around the United States.
The network’s TennisChannel.com website and Tennis Channel app will show the women’s semifinals and final free to anyone in the country during championship weekend August 6-7. Station partner WRIC 8News will air the Women’s Singles Final live on August 7 and WJLA 27/4 will air both the Men’s & Women’s Singles Finals live as well.
